Yes, I think SEECLICKFIX helps people in Oakland to resist oppression because you announce what you think is a problem and post it so it can be fixed and even if they may not fix it because it’s in someone else’s property you can still report what you believe is a issue for they Bay Area.
- Explain the story of your picture for the SEECLICKFIX project (Describe what you took a picture of, when you took it, where you were, and how).
When I took this picture I was in the car with my family and we where in 42nd Avenue by Burger King and a Charter school so I decided to take a picture of it since there was trash spread all around that location of random things.
- What did you do in class to report an issue to SEECLICKFIX? Describe the steps you took.
First to start off you should already have a account or otherwise just sign in and then take a picture of whatever you picture is and report your issue in the “Report an Issue” button and put all the information you have for your issue in there. You may have to do a small QnA it won’t take long then just post it with whatever the issue was and you can also pick if you want to post it as anonymous or with your name on it that you saw and reported it, check if it has been solved yet.
- Do you predict that the City of Oakland will fix the problem you reported? Explain why, or why not.
It can fix the problems but if they’re in a private property than they probably wouldn’t, otherwise I think they might fix because of how other report are frequently always getting reported it may take long for them to fix it but they can still do it because that is their job to fix the issues people have here in Oakland.
